SERVICES
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We will provide you with experienced project managers to organize and assist your project team or to manage the entire project. We follow the project management methodology and tools set out in the latest PMBOK Guide published by the internationally recognized Project Management Institute (PMI).
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
For challenges where complexity is high, let us help bring some order to your multifaceted program. We'll break down the program into sub-projects and if warranted, create project teams to "eat the elephant". Once the program is scoped, we can provide recommendations on how best to manage the specific projects and how to tie them together to fit into the larger program.
MANUFACTURING SOURCING
Once design lock is achieved and you are ready to move to product manufacturing, we will manage the vendor qualification process, providing you options that meet your requirements. If you already have qualified vendors, we will work through the process of qualification including results analysis and reporting.
PRODUCT DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURABILITY (PLASTIC & SILICONE)
During the design process we always keep in mind how the conceptual design can be reasonably manufactured. Experience has taught us that it's not always easy or straightforward. The team at EDD has a knack for keeping the design intent intact so that it can be produced cost-effectively when your product ramps up to production.
INJECTION MOLD TOOLING DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
When your designs are locked in, we will provide you a tooling strategy, develop costs and a timeline that works within your schedule and budget. Once agreed upon, we design and execute the tool build and complete the tool inspection, functional acceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT) and all other Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) criteria your quality systems require.
DESIGN PROTOTYPING
When your design is ready for prototyping, we will manage this process through as many interactive steps as needed to ensure your design is ready for testing and manufacturing. We will conduct design for manufacturability assessments and incorporate results into the prototyping process. We will work with our vendors or your preferred vendor to produce a few prototypes to many parts as needed satisfy project deliverables. We'll suggest the appropriate 3D printing process, materials and "soft" or "hard" tooling as needed.
